Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking an EMIS/Registrar at The Dome for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As an EMIS/Registrar you are required to:
- Graduation from high school.
- College level course work in business, word processing, and office procedures preferred.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Successful experience with office management in related area preferred
As an EMIS/Registrar you will:
- Assist with preparation, recording and filing of district student records (e.g., registration, withdrawals, EMIS data entry, transfers, address changes, charter schools, open enrollment, Ed Choice vouchers, GED waivers, etc.)
- Receives and records interdistrict and intradistrict open enrollment requests, kindergarten and preschool registrations, and central registration for grades K-12.
- Verifies the legal residence of custodial parent(s) or guardian(s)
- Registers and informs families of custody law and residency issues
- Strives to develop rapport with students, staff, parents, and the public. Responds to requests and complaints promptly and tactfully. Offers and accepts constrictive suggestions diplomatically. Respects the personal confidences and privacy needs of individuals.
- Intervenes to avert problem situations and resolve conflicts. .
- Ensures that all reports are submitted on time.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What We Offer:
As a contracted employee, this position works 8 hours per day, 260 days per year.
Monday - Friday hours as assigned
Starting salary is $20.71 per hour
