Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development and early learning skills.
- Support children with daily routines, including meal times, diapering, potty training, and nap schedules, ensuring a caring and hygienic environment.
- Engage with children through play, educational activities, and behavioral guidance to encourage positive social interactions and behavior management.
- Monitor classroom safety and cleanliness, adhering to health and safety regulations such as first aid procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to observe and document each child's progress, providing feedback to support individualized learning plans.
- Help manage classroom behavior by implementing consistent discipline strategies and fostering a respectful environment.
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's daily activities, milestones, and any concerns.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs.
