Maintenance Technician/Journeyman

Job Overview
We are a large-scale industrial coating company located on Cleveland's west side. We have been in business for over forty-eight years. We provide coatings for a diverse collection of industries but also have a large presence in the automotive manufacturing field. We do most of our own maintenance in house, from boilers to roof repair and electrical. It's never repetitive.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, and mechanical repair. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, You will inspect different equipment and perform all basic repairs or preventative maintenance when required. To do well in this role you must have previous experience in maintenance, be skilled with the installation of electric motors (480V 3Ph), PVC and black pipe, conveyors and related drive systems. Must also be able to read blueprints and repair manuals.

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to ensure continuous production operations.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they impact production.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
• Electrical installation, diagnostics and repair.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
• Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
• Follow safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Maintenance Worker Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.

Maintenance Worker Requirements:

• Proven maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Related degree from a technical college, or work experience equal to a journeyman.
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• Employees supply their own tools, except those that are considered industrial.
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
• Experience performing routine maintenance.
• Strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
