SUMMARY: Under administrative supervision, supervises pupil personnel, lunchroom, buses, student activities, and parking of students. Reports to building principal.
Duties/Performance Expectations - Essential Functions
- Supervises pupil personnel (e.g. discipline, detention, parent-teacher conferences, assemblies, locker assignments, lunchroom, parking areas).
- Determines appropriate discipline for offenders following the student discipline code.
- School representative in IEP meetings.
- Administers and supervises school attendance and works with attendance officer and clerical aide (e.g. prepares reports and records; issues absence permits, tardy permits and permits to leave school, etc.).
- Administers and supervises student activities; assists in the development of student/parent/staff publications; assists with formal and informal evaluations of building staff; and assists with the development and maintenance of a building calendar.
- Attends building and district meetings as requested.
- Supervises extra-curricular, and co-curricular activities.
- Fulfills the job description duties of the Building Principal in his/her absence.
- Assists with care of building.
- Serves as liaison between school and community agencies (e.g. Juvenile Court, Children's Services, etc.). Works in cooperative effort which includes all community groups.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Develops positive programs for staff and students.
- Performs other duties as described in job description and as assigned by supervisors.
- Master's Degree.
- Valid Ohio Elementary Principal's Certificate/License
- Three (3) years of successful elementary teaching experience preferred
- Successful administrative or supervisory experience preferred
- Must pass criminal background check
- Effective Date: 2026/2027 School Year
- Two hundred (200) day annual contract
