Spriggs Excavation is looking for an experienced construction leader who thrives on building relationships, developing teams, and helping secure complex civil construction projects.
This is more than an estimating role—you'll help shape company strategy, lead our preconstruction team, drive business development efforts, and play a key role in our continued growth across the Rocky Mountains and Midwest.
For over 20 years, Spriggs Excavation has built a reputation for excellence in heavy civil construction, mass excavation, renewable energy, substations, and infrastructure projects. We move dirt at a massive scale—and we're looking for a leader who can help take us to the next level.
What You'll Do
🔹 Lead, mentor, and develop the preconstruction team
🔹 Oversee estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and bid strategy
🔹 Build relationships with clients, engineers, developers, and general contractors
🔹 Identify and pursue new business opportunities
🔹 Represent Spriggs at client meetings, industry events, and project pursuits
🔹 Collaborate with operations and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery
🔹 Contribute to company growth, forecasting, and strategic planning
What You Bring
✅ 10 years of estimating, preconstruction, or civil construction experience
✅ 5 years of business development, sales, or client-facing experience within construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy
✅ Proven leadership experience developing high-performing teams
✅ Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
✅ Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
✅ Ability and willingness to travel
(Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.)
