What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Painter position at Spray-Net Huntsville?

Spray-Net Huntsville is a specialty painter and we're looking to hire an entry-level team member. We don't expect any previous experience or knowledge. In fact, we prefer none. If you're a painter, we won't be interested in how you do it. Team-work, being able to learn "what right looks like", and being reliable are the main attributes we need.
A typical day for this job involves setting up equipment, using paper, tape, and plastic film to mask areas, sanding, cleaning, and organizing the work-site. Some of our work is in clients' homes, the rest is outside. Moving and climbing ladders to mostly 2nd story, but sometimes 3rd story heights is part of the job. Being able to get to job locations in the North Alabama area on time is also part of the job. We are a subcontractor for Lowes and a background check is required.
The way hiring will work is you'll have a brief phone call with Owner. From there you will have an in person interview.
We start most people at $16/hour for the first month. From there we provide raises to $19/hour after completing our training program and over time. After that you can learn to be a Sprayer or take on other jobs in the company.
