Unpacking and processing meat items in a retail environment. Candidate must have experience cutting meat including beef, pork and poultry. Work is performed in a fast paced environment, with a small crew. Applicants must be available for shifts starting as early as 5 AM, and be able to work as late as 6pm on occasion. Holiday and weekend availability is a must.
We do offer apprentice programs.
Job duties include:
- Cutting fresh beef, poultry and pork both in bulk, and in cut to order situations
- Tray packing these items with presentation
- Unloading orders from pallets
- Stocking meat items for customer purchase
- Cleaning up and sanitizing the meat shop, including knives, blocks, sinks, grinder, saw, etc
- Working with customers to help them select items, and in general offering good customer service
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends
Experience:
- Meat cutting: 2 years (Required)
This Job Is:
- A job for which military experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
- Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED
- A good fit for applicants with gaps in their resume, or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more
- Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
