Sprain Brook Manor, a 120-bed skilled Nursing Facility in Westchester, NY, is seeking a full or part-time Recreation Assistant to join our team. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and recording the progress of recreation programs for our geriatric population. We are looking for a positive and energetic individual who enjoys bringing joy into people's lives.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and record progress of recreation programs for our geriatric population
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and staff
- Create and lead recreational activities, such as games, crafts, and social events
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to design and implement therapy programs
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- Participate in resident assessments and develop individualized recreation plans
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma
- Minimum Experience: 1-3 years of direct or related experience
- Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Recreation or related field
