We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Recreation Assistant to join our assisted living community. The Recreation Assistant will help create meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable experiences for our residents by planning and leading activities that promote social interaction, physical movement, creativity, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
* Plan, organize, and lead daily recreational and social activities for residents.
* Encourage residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities.
* Assist with arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, entertainment, outings, and special events.
* Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all residents.
* Provide one-on-one engagement for residents who may prefer individual activities.
* Assist with decorating and preparing activity areas for special events and holidays.
* Maintain activity supplies and assist with keeping the recreation area organized.
Qualifications
* Friendly, patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic personality.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Comfortable leading groups and engaging with residents.
* Must be willing and available to work **one weekend day each week (either Saturday or Sunday)**.
* Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
