What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Accounting Department position at SPP PUMPS INC?
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Become familiar with and assist daily processes related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger Accounting with two separate ERP systems.
- Review account details for a wide range of suppliers and customers and perform maintenance as needed to comply with best practices and business policy requirements.
- Reconcile vendor statements and assist in resolution of discrepancies.
- Communicate with business partners for required documentation to ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate policies.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s or Associate’s program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits/credits, general ledger, AP/AR cycles)
- Strong computer aptitude, including expertise with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word.
- Basic knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.
Salary : $15 - $20
