What are the responsibilities and job description for the 7320 Instructional Assistant I - Spottsville position at Spottsville Elementary School?
BASIC FUNCTION: Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups; monitor and report student progress. Typically this is at the kindergarten level.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age and supply proof of: A high school diploma and ability to pass the Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment OR completion of a minimum of sixty (48) semester hours of study at an institution of higher education OR an associate (or higher) degree. Those with a teaching certification are preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Also requires a physical exam, TB risk assessment, CAN check, state/national criminal background check and drug screen. This position is 181 days prorated for the 2026-27 school year; 7.5 hours per day.
