What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Instructional Assistant position at Hancock County School District?
Once you have completed your application, contact Tina Baize by phone at 270-927-7549 or by email: tina.baize@hancock.kyschools.us to receive information to do your fingerprints for your required State and Federal background checks and the Child Abuse and Neglect check and to pick up paperwork for a physical and TB skin test (the physical/TB test will be at our expense if completed within a specified time frame and at our location of choice).
There is a fee of $10.00 for the Kentucky Child Abuse or Neglect check; please bring exact cash or a check made out to "HCBOE" along with a picture ID.
The fee for the required fingerprinted background check is $51.25. These prints will be done at the Elizabeth Munday Center in Owensboro, KY. You will be mailed the information on how to set your appointment up online.
Once these steps are completed, you will be sent an email containing information for your online training that must be completed prior to hire.
A minimum of high school diploma or GED AND a minimum of 48 college hours or the ParaEducator Certification is required.
**Please note: an original transcript will be required. It often takes 1-2 weeks to receive transcripts. Please contact your educational facility and order a set at this time if you do not have a set on file.
