Who You Are
We are looking for a motivated Production Manager to join our state-of-the-art freeze drying facility in Allentown, PA! As Production Manager, you will oversee all team members working directly in the manufacturing process and operating equipment. The Production Manager owns the operations function within the manufacturing facility including planning, organizing, directing, and delivering the operational activities to achieve organizational goals and objectives. This individual will be responsible for ensuring all products are made in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations. Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the performance of plant operations as it relates to human and food safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, cost control, employee engagement and development.

Who You Are

Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the performance of plant operations as it relates to human and food safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, cost control, employee engagement and development.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize individual safety, product quality, and food safety and escalate any behavior or occurrence that may impact these
- Coach, motivate and challenge the team to achieve and exceed daily performance goals
- Set production schedule and manage against targets
- Complete end of shift reports and ensure data integrity across manufacturing process
- Drive continuous process improvement across the facility
- Own GMP standards across production associates
- Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & corrective action tracking
- Manage associate performance and policy adherence in partnership with Plant Manager and HR
- Identify associates with potential for promotion on your team and creating training plans for every critical role
- Interview and select new team members while representing Spot & Tango values
- Track, report, and optimize KPIโs
- Develop into a subject matter expert utilizing Parity Factory/NetSuite systems (ERP)
- Complete projects to meet yearly personal goals
- Support all operation areas by aligning interactions across different departments including Maintenance, Logistics, Quality, and Safety
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in a production environment
- Safety first mindset
- Experience managing teams of people in a fast-paced production environment
- Experience in hiring and developing new team members in a production environment.
- Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Conversational Spanish preferred
- Demonstrated competency in computer and PC software (e.g., ERP, CMMS, Microsoft Excel)
