What You'll Do As A Speech Language Pathologist - You'll help clients develop the skills they need to participate confidently in everyday life.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication impairments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement speech-language therapy interventions tailored to patients’ specific needs, including articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing therapies.
  • Collaborate closely with patients’ families and caregivers to ensure effective communication strategies are reinforced at home and in community settings.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, audiologists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology techniques, physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology to ensure evidence-based practice.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities focused on pediatrics or working with individuals with disabilities across age groups.

Skills

  • Experience working with children in pediatric settings or school environments is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective speech therapy plans for diverse populations including those with speech impairments or disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to speech production and swallowing functions.
  • Skilled in conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients on communication or swallowing difficulties is a plus.
  • Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services remotely while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology practices is essential.

Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
