What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clerical Methods Analyst position at Sports Medicine North?
PURPOSE: Provides administrative support and workflow analysis for scanning/indexing department and the organization.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent experience
EXPERIENCE: One-year medical office experience.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include, but are not limited to)
- Evaluate workflows, suggest and implement improvements to administrative workflows across the organization but primarily scanning/indexing.
- Assist in the department management team in the creation of system application training documents.
- Create and implement organizational systems for documents, standard operating procedures, and training documents.
- Daily uploading and indexing of all physical and electronic paperwork generated per protocols
- Retrieval, uploading, indexing, and retention of Operative reports from multiple facilities
- Work closely with front desk staff to obtain necessary reports
- Retrieval, uploading, and indexing of surgical images
- Monitor various fax folders
- Monitor charges for office visits and surgeries
- Deal with problems that come up as the day progresses/troubleshooting
- Back up for faxing clerk, chart preparation and scanning clerk roles
- Any duties or projects as assigned by any Supervisor or Manager
- Requesting of additional tasks during downtime
KNOWLEDGE:
- Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures and other regulatory policies
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment
- Medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology, telephone protocol and professional etiquette
- Familiarity with electronic medical systems is a plus, including Athena/Centricity, and Medi-Tech
