The House Supervisor is a Registered Nurse (RN) who serves as the onsite administrative leader during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care throughout the organization. This individual supports hospital operations by coordinating patient flow, managing staffing needs, responding to emergent situations, and serving as a resource and mentor to clinical staff. The Clinical House Supervisor plays a key role in supporting employees, providers, patients, and families while upholding Spooner Health’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Standards of Excellence.
- Provides clinical leadership across departments to ensure quality care and service excellence.
- Facilitates patient flow including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Serves as a liaison among clinical teams, support departments, and hospital leadership.
- Leads emergency response coordination during assigned shifts.
- Addresses staffing needs and assigns responsibilities based on skill level and scope of practice.
- Provides direct patient care as needed, including administering medications and assisting with ADLs.
- Coaches and supports staff, participates in performance feedback, and promotes teamwork.
- Participates in policy review, safety initiatives, and performance improvement projects.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Maintains a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Demonstrates understanding of hospital policies, regulations, and documentation standards.
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years in emergency or acute care nursing; supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses: Current Wisconsin RN license.
Certificates: ACLS and TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
