Position Summary
The Controller is a highly experienced, hands-on finance leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The Controller will also drive continuous improvement, support system and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transitions, and lead the accounting team through growth and change.

This role owns the integrity of financial data, leads month-end close processes, manages external audits, and delivers executive-level reporting. The Controller will also drive continuous improvement, support system and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transitions, and lead the accounting team through growth and change.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across all financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow) in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Lead Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial system transitions, including data migration, validation, controls alignment, and post-implementation improvements.
- Accountable for financial data integrity during system transitions and post‑implementation optimization.
- Supervise daily accounting operations including AR, AP, payroll, commissions, incentives, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability, adaptability, and professional growth.
- Lead the annual budget and forecasting cycle across all three financial statements.
- Prepare and deliver executive and board-level reporting packages, including KPIs, trend analysis, and actionable insights.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to support scalability and risk mitigation.
- Manage external audits, tax filings, and lender reporting, serving as the primary point of contact with auditors and third-party providers.
- Ensure compliance with debt covenants and regulatory requirements.
- Support acquisitions, including due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition reporting (preferred).
- Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role with direct people management responsibility.
- Prior experience in construction, infrastructure, field‑based, or services environments with complex job costing, decentralized operations, or multi‑location accounting structures is strongly preferred.
- Strong command of full accrual accounting and GAAP.
- Deep knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 842 (Leases), and ASC 718 (Stock Compensation).
- Hands‑on experience with NetSuite, Sage, or comparable ERP/accounting systems preferred.
- CPA certification required.
