Position: Part-Time Crew Member — Potential to Grow Into Full-Time

Spirito’s Italian Grocery is growing quickly, and we’re looking for another great person to grow with us.

We’re a locally owned Italian grocery and deli in downtown Collinsville, but what makes Spirito’s special isn’t just the food. We’re a warm neighborhood store with regulars we genuinely know and care about. We want people to feel welcome when they walk through the door, whether they’re grabbing their usual sandwich, stocking up for Sunday dinner, or visiting us for the first time.

That means we’re looking for more than someone who can simply clock in and complete a checklist.

We want someone who takes pride in taking care of people, taking care of the store, and being part of a strong team.

Spirito’s Crew members work throughout the operation, including:

• Preparing and packaging food
• Working in our deli and kitchen
• Helping customers and building relationships with regulars
• Operating our Square POS system
• Stocking and organizing products
• Cleaning and maintaining food-prep and customer areas
• Following food-safety standards and established procedures
• Helping wherever the team needs support during busy periods

It’s hands-on work in a fast-moving small business, so we value people who can look around, recognize what needs to happen next, and take initiative.

You may be a strong fit if you are:

• Dependable and punctual
• Warm, personable, and genuinely comfortable with customers
• Comfortable working hard and staying active throughout a shift
• Organized and attentive to details
• Willing to clean, stock, prep food, and pitch in wherever necessary
• Able to learn new systems, routines, and procedures
• Comfortable working independently once trained
• Interested in becoming genuinely good at what you do

Experience in restaurants, delis, grocery stores, kitchens, hospitality, or retail is helpful, but attitude, reliability, and the ability to learn matter just as much.

Weekend availability is particularly valuable.

This position will start part-time, but it can expand into additional hours and potentially full-time employment for the right person.

Spirito’s is actively expanding.

We recently launched Casa Di Spirito, our sister business just down Main Street—an Italian-inspired mercantile featuring gifts, homewares, vintage finds, specialty products, and local makers.

As Spirito’s and Casa continue to develop, so will the jobs within them.

For ambitious team members who prove themselves dependable and capable, there may be opportunities over time to:

• Increase hours
• Cross-train between Spirito’s and Casa Di Spirito
• Learn new areas of the businesses
• Take ownership of projects or departments
• Move into leadership or operational responsibilities

• Grow a part-time position into a larger long-term role
