Spirito’s Italian Grocery is growing, and we’re looking for another dependable, hardworking person to join our crew in downtown Collinsville.

This is a hands-on role in a busy small-business environment. Crew members help across customer service, deli and kitchen prep, stocking, cleaning, register work, and the day-to-day operations that keep Spirito’s moving.

We’re growing beyond one storefront

Spirito’s is also the company behind Casa Di Spirito, our new Italian-inspired mercantile just down Main Street featuring gifts, homewares, vintage finds, local makers, and specialty products.

As both businesses grow, we want to develop good people with them.

For ambitious hires who prove themselves dependable, capable, and willing to learn, there can be opportunities over time to take on additional responsibility, cross-train between businesses, help with new projects, and grow into roles that don’t necessarily exist yet today.

We’d rather promote capable people from within than constantly look outside the company as we expand.

What we’re looking for

• Dependable and punctual
• Friendly and comfortable working with customers
• Able to move quickly in a busy environment
• Willing to clean, stock, prep food, and help wherever needed
• Comfortable learning systems, routines, and checklists
• Able to take initiative without needing constant direction
• Food service, deli, grocery, restaurant, or retail experience is a plus
• Weekend availability is especially valuable

The work may include

• Preparing and packaging food
• Helping customers and operating Square POS
• Stocking and organizing inventory
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas
• Following food-safety procedures
• Supporting the crew during busy periods
• Helping keep the store organized and ready for service

This is currently a part-time position, with the potential for additional hours and expanded responsibility for the right person.

We’re especially interested in people who want more than just a temporary job—people who enjoy small business, want to learn how things work, and would like the opportunity to grow as Spirito’s and Casa Di Spirito continue to expand.
