SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The position of Front of House Supervisor at Moosehead Bar and Grill is a winter-seasonal position and entails assisting the Food & Beverage Director in overseeing the daily operations of the front of house staff. This role will be scheduled from Dec-April about 25-30 hours a week and involves supervising staff, maintaining and ordering beverage inventory, ensuring excellent guest service, and facilitating communication with senior management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide direct leadership and supervision to front of house staff.
- Handles beverage inventory including purchasing.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by exceeding their needs and expectations.
- Coordinate and assign tasks and offer support and assistance to front of house staff as required.
- Handle scheduling, bank distribution, and inventory management.
- Train new employees on the sales system and bank reconciliation process.
- Address guest complaints and provide basic compensation when senior management is unavailable.
- Report any disciplinary issues to Food & Beverage Director.
- Maintain high work standards, prioritize customer satisfaction, and stay self-motivated.
- Be available to work nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age of 18 or older.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality field.
- Proficiency in cash handling.
- Previous experience in restaurants, bars, hotels, or catering.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Stamina to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work long hours in a physically demanding environment.
