We are looking for a high-energy, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in Spirit Lake, IA.
This position is about much more than writing repair orders. We are looking for someone who can build relationships, earn customer trust, and become the person customers come back to for their vehicle's service needs.
Our ideal Service Advisor is a customer collector — someone who creates such a strong experience that customers choose to return, refer friends and family, and trust us with their vehicles year after year.
What You'll Do
- Build strong, long-term relationships with service customers
- Greet customers professionally and create a great first impression
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle needs
- Recommend maintenance and repairs based on time, mileage, condition, and inspection results
- Clearly explain recommendations and help customers understand the value of completing the work
- Follow up with customers throughout the repair process
- Maintain consistent communication from check-in through vehicle delivery
- Review technician inspections and present recommendations to customers
- Identify additional service opportunities without being pushy or transactional
- Follow up on declined and deferred work to bring customers back
- Build a personal customer base and actively work to increase customer retention
- Deliver a professional and memorable vehicle delivery experience
- Work closely with technicians, parts, and management to keep repairs moving
- Maintain accurate repair orders and follow dealership processes
- Help create a positive, accountable, high-performance service department
