- Supports the head coach in practice, teaching fundamental skills, and preparing for games.
- Promotes teamwork and sportsmanship, while ensuring a safe environment.
- Assists with game strategy and player development.
- Promotes academic accountability, teamwork, and positive behavior among student-athletes.
- Communicates effectively with players, parents, and school staff
- Requires coaching endorsement/authorization through the Iowa BOEE.
