What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Coordinator position at Spirit Jersey?
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Coordinator to join our production team. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and compliant production of finished goods to support our schedules. You will work closely with apparel suppliers, third-party freight forwarders, and internal departments to manage the end-to-end production process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the A2000 ERP system and a strong understanding of apparel production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue and manage Full Package Purchase Orders (POs) and Cut POs in A2000 according to production schedules and vendor requirements.
- Create and issue Work Orders in A2000, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Track, stage, and monitor Work Orders throughout the production cycle, updating records to reflect real-time status.
- Close Work Orders upon production completion, ensuring all system data is accurate and complete.
- Handle issuance and closure of purchase orders to all suppliers.
- Manage day-to-day production communication with factories and internal teams.
- Ensure all factories provide and maintain Work In Progress (WIP) reports, flagging any delays or discrepancies to management.
- Review and save all documentation in the system (purchase orders, shipping documents, inspection reports).
- Communicate packaging requirements per customer PO to factories and provide UPC codes with retail price information.
- Review and communicate order overages/shortages to customer service.
- Maintain detailed and accurate production records in A2000, supporting efficient workflow and traceability.
- Assist in process improvement initiatives to optimize the use of A2000 for production operations.
- Provide additional support and perform other tasks as required to support business operations.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience working with A2000 systems (Required).
- 3 years of purchase order processing experience (Required).
- Strong understanding of apparel production processes, including full package production, cutting, and work order management.
- Proficiency in A2000 ERP system is required; experience with Centric is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Familiarity with textile or apparel production is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 40 per week
