Title: Radiology Assistant
Reports to: Radiology Manager
Hours: Various Shifts (Mon – Friday 6:00AM-11:00PM; Sat 9:00AM-5:00PM)

What you’ll do:
Our Radiology Aide is responsible for providing support to our Radiology Technicians (MRI & X-ray). The Aide prepares patients for Radiology examinations by greeting, screening, changing, completing and reviewing paperwork as well as assisting Radiology Tech with patient transfers, positioning and room cleanliness.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Knowledge of MRI & X-ray safety protocols
- Performs detailed pre-procedure patient screenings for MRI Safety
- Protects patients, self, and other staff from radiation hazards
- Preparing patients for radiology procedures - changed into gowns/shorts, shoes and jewelry removed
- Understands provider’s orders and requests
- Brings patients to MRI/X-ray rooms and escorts patients back to changing rooms or exam rooms
- Cleans, maintains, and makes minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining equipment repairs
- Maintains required records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports
- Assures a clean, stocked work area by maintaining MRI & X-ray rooms, and workstations.
- Assist in maintaining an on-time patient schedule
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of HIPAA Regulations
- Pertinent job-related experience and Medical Terminology
