Position Summary:

The Picker/Packer role at Spirax-Sarco provides an outstanding opportunity to be part of leading warehouse operations in Blythewood, SC.

Shift Days/Hours: Monday to Friday / 9:30am to 6:00pm

This position plays a key part in ensuring the accurate handling and preparation of parts for shipment, aiding our focused efforts on efficiency and dependability. You will serve as an essential member of our team, assisting in upholding strict safety protocols and successfully applying innovative warehouse techniques.

Essential (Major) Job Function

• Pick parts and materials according to work orders with proven accuracy.
• Pack and prepare shipments following company standards to ensure flawless delivery.
• Transport and manage heavy components safely, showing full observance of safety guidelines.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, contributing to a world-class warehouse environment.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment, ensuring seamless operations.
• Adhere to all safety policies and warehouse guidelines to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Other Job Functions

• Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in warehouse operations.
• Support daily warehouse tasks to ensure the smooth flow of materials and parts.
• Actively participate in team meetings to identify improvements to processes and products.
• Communicate effectively with internal personnel to resolve issues and optimize workflows.

Job Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

1-3 years of relevant experience in warehouse order picking and packing.

Specialized Skills:

• Ability to lift heavy parts (up to company-required limits).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to operate effectively in a high-speed environment and achieve deadlines successfully.

Field Work

This role does not require field work; it is strictly based in the warehouse.

Standing/Walking:

75% of the time, actively engaged in warehouse tasks.

Lifting:

More than 25 lbs, showing strength and following safety guidelines.
