This role will focus on:
Support the marketing and business development team by creating engaging newsletters, developing targeted outreach strategies, and managing sector leads from exhibitions and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, draft, and distribute monthly newsletters featuring company updates, product innovations, and industry insights.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure communications align with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
- Organize and maintain a database of sector leads collected from exhibitions and events.
- Develop targeted communication campaigns, including personalized email outreach and follow-up strategies.
- Track engagement metrics and provide reports on campaign performance.
- Assist in brainstorming and implementing creative ideas to improve lead conversion and audience engagement.
Learning & Development Objectives
- Develop professional newsletters tailored for B2B audiences.
- Apply brand guidelines and tone consistency in written communication.
- Organize, segment, and maintain lead databases effectively.
- Use CRM tools for tracking and nurturing leads.
- Design and execute targeted email campaigns for sector-specific audiences.
- Analyze campaign performance using engagement metrics (open rates, CTR).
- Interpret marketing analytics to optimize outreach strategies.
- Prepare performance reports and recommend improvements.
- Leverage exhibition-generated leads for business development.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing and business development teams.
- Gain experience in project planning and meeting deadlines.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- At least 2 newsletters published during the 10-week internship period.
- Achieve an average open rate of 25% and click-through rate of 5% for newsletters.
- Execute at least 2 segmented email campaigns per month to sector-specific leads.
- Provide a monthly performance report on newsletter engagement and lead conversion activities.
Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This position offers an hour salary of $23dls. Final salary offers are determined by multiple factors, including education, experience, internal equity, geographic location, and the candidate’s expertise, and therefore may vary from the range listed. For roles based outside Massachusetts, the applicable salary range may be lower.
