Our client, a growing player in the glass and aluminum fabrication sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable part-time professional to support both front-office reception and daily accounting operations. The company is currently undergoing a system migration and organizational transition following a recent acquisition, offering the right candidate a valuable opportunity to contribute during a time of change and growth.
This on-site role is ideal for someone who thrives in a tight-knit team, is resourceful, and can evolve from primarily administrative tasks into core accounting responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Administrative Support (initially 70%, transitioning to 30%)
- Greet visitors and manage front desk duties professionally
- Handle incoming calls and mail (receive, open, stamp, and route appropriately)
- Perform filing and general clerical support tasks
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and assist with customer service
Accounting & Bookkeeping Support (initially 30%, transitioning to 70%)
- Enter vendor invoices and check payments into the system
- Post daily sales and process credit card transactions
- Support the internal accountant with reconciliation, data entry, and daily reporting
- Ensure financial accuracy and timely transaction processing
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Proactive and self-directed – takes initiative and demonstrates a problem-solving mindset
- Experienced – brings prior office or administrative background (early-career candidates will not be prioritized)
- Technically proficient – skilled in Microsoft Excel, with exposure to Microsoft Dynamics, and QuickBooks strongly preferred
- Personable and professional – communicates well with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Organized and detail-focused – maintains accuracy and follows through on assigned responsibilities
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative roles
- Experience with ERP or accounting software (especially Microsoft Dynamics or QuickBooks)
- High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be available for on-site work in Covington, LA
- Comfortable working in a front-desk, shared office environment
