About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accounting Manager to join our finance team and support our fast-growing luxury jewelry business. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role will oversee daily accounting operations, assist with month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and help build scalable processes as we expand across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels both domestically and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
- Own and drive the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Supervise and support accounting staff, including A/P, A/R and Staff Accountant roles
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with annual budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis
- Help implement and refine accounting systems and workflows, especially during our NetSuite ERP implementation
- Support intercompany accounting and consolidation efforts across US and international entities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies
- Lead ASC 842 lease accounting compliance, including lease schedule maintenance and monthly amortization entries
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and consultants as needed
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to scale finance operations
- Participate in inventory costing, COGS analysis, and inventory-related reconciliations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track strongly preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, month-end close processes, and internal controls
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite a strong plus); proficient in Excel and QuickBooks Online
- Experience in consumer goods, retail, e-commerce, or inventory-based businesses preferred
- Experience with Shopify and Avalara a plus
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Compensation:
- $105,000 - $115,000, per year DOE
