Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Physicians Assistant, Surgical First Assist, located in Dallas, TX. The Physicians Assistant will collaborate closely with the spine surgeon and the healthcare team to deliver top-quality care. Responsibilities include patient assessments, assisting in surgical procedures, developing treatment plans, assisting on all surgical cases, post-operative care, prescribing medications, rounding, and conducting follow-ups. The role requires excellent communication with patients and families and working in compliance with medical regulations while maintaining the institute's high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience in conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing post-operative care
• Proficiency in assisting with surgical procedures, including pre-operative and follow-up responsibilities
• Strong communication skills for patient education and coordination with medical staff
• Knowledge of medical regulations, charting, and clinical practices in a surgical or orthopedic setting
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare environment
• Certified Physician Assistant credential (PA-C) with an active and unencumbered Texas state license
• Prior experience in orthopedics or spine care preferred
