Instructional Aides Needed – Per Diem | Elmira, NY
Support students in a rewarding school-based environment as an Instructional Aide. Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group academic and behavioral support to students, following teacher guidance
- Assist with students’ daily routines, classroom transitions, and participation
- Implement behavior support plans and individual education programs (IEPs) as applicable
- Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs to ensure student safety and inclusion
- Maintain a respectful, safe, and positive learning environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a TB test and all required clearances prior to starting
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Preferred experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is a plus
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certification helpful but not required
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented attitude
