Responsibilities:
- Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially throughout the school day
- Provide 1:1 or small-group support as directed by teachers and staff
- Help with daily routines, transitions, and encourage active classroom participation
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when applicable
- Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to pass TB testing (per district guidelines)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
- Required clearances must be current or obtained prior to starting
- Preferred: experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
- Preferred: familiarity working with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT certifications are a plus but not required
- Reliable, patient, and a team-oriented attitude
