Role: Design Engineer 5
Location: Scottsdale, AZ/Detroit, MI (Onsite)
Duration: Contract.
Job Description:
- Minimum 4 years experience as a detail oriented Interior Components and Systems development lead (e.g., hard trim, soft trim, IP, door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)
- Minimum 4 years of knowledge and understanding of automotive interior components and systems, industry benchmarks, trends, and supplier capabilities.
- 4 years of demonstrated experience as a detail oriented Interior Components and Systems development lead (e.g., hard trim, soft trim, IP, door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD for 2D/3D concept drawings, interior components and systems, packaging layouts, and DFM studies (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
- Vehicle and product launch experience
- Competency in materials selection, plastic injection moulding/DFM, and GD&T
- A strong desire to create exceptional products as part of a highly capable team
