General Description: The CNC machinist operates and programs machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders controlled by a computer to produce precision metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The machinist will ensure the efficient operation of the machine, maintain equipment, and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficientlyWork with engineering and CAM programming department to develop, and improve CNC programsDesign and aid in the fabrication of fixturing for parts of varying complexityEducation, Training, and Experience:High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred5 years of CNC Mills or Lathe machine operationWorking Conditions:Machine shop environment with medium noise level and metal dust particles5:00am-1:30pm Day Shift1:30pm-10:00pm Swing ShiftTemp-to-PermMedical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Life Insurance, Educational Reimbursement, PTO available once brought on full-time
