We are currently seeking an experienced Sandblaster/Painter to support a manufacturing operation focused on packaging automation. Job Responsibilities:
- Surface Prep: Grind, clean, and sandblast metal surfaces to prepare them for industrial finishing.
- Industrial Painting: Apply primers and finish coats to machine frames and steel parts according to engineering blueprints.
- Quality Inspection: Check all finished units for runs, sags, or missed areas to ensure a professional result.
- Material Management: Mix paint to exact specifications and coordinate with vendors for accurate color matching.
- Safe Operation: Maintain a clean paint booth and safely operate powered industrial trucks and spray equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of specialized protective coatings used in heavy machinery.
- Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Required Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in industrial sandblasting and painting.
- Technical Ability: Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints.
- Basic Aptitude: Strong math skills and the ability to follow detailed technical manuals and memos.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Work Ethic: Proven track record of reliability and a commitment to workplace safety.
