What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Welder position at Spherion Staffing?
Local Manufacturing Company is seeking Welders.
- Safety operate welding equipment performing basic operations.
- Utilizes work orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine correct type of weld based on specifications.
- Performs welding and/or assembly tasks utilizing standard welding equipment.
- Plans and performs weld set ups.
- Possess the ability to select proper fillers for jobs.
- Performs welding/cutting operations..
- Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications using a variety of tools.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. .
- Conforms to departmental safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Welding experience required. 1-2 years of MIG/TIG experience a plus, or a welding certificate preferred
- Ability to pass a background check
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and be able to stand, lift, twist and bend for an 10 hour shift.
Hours are Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Experience:
- Welding: 1 year (Preferred)
- MIG welding: 1 year (Preferred)
- TIG welding: 1 year (Preferred)
