Corporate Controller

Wisconsin-based Insurance Services Company is adding a new position to manage their Accounting/Finance Team. The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role ensures the accuracy of financial statements, maintains compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and supports strategic financial planning in collaboration with executive leadership. An employee-owned company operating 20 years within 9-states with headquarters in Middleton, WI.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the CFO, oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and fixed assets
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting
• Direct and ensure completion and accuracy of daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations
• Generate timely and accurate financial and management reports on a consistent basis, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
• Lead the budgeting process in collaboration with FP&A and business leaders, oversee implementation, monitor performance, and deliver operational metrics and variance insights to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and applicable reporting standards
• Manage and mentor a team of 5- supporting team members.
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance with CPA Designation
• Minimum ten years related accounting experience with progressive responsibility
• Previous experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools
• Prior experience in public accounting and previous experience with payroll oversight
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience working with Section 125, Section 105, COBRA or health insurance products
