Position Summary
Spherion has partnered with a high-end, gated recreational community in Equinunk, PA to find reliable Custodians. This is a Direct Hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired directly by the community from day one—not as a temporary worker.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, stays moving, and takes pride in a job well done. The community features beautiful, modern comfort stations, but heavy weekend use from residents means these facilities require consistent, thorough maintenance.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
Your primary focus will be maintaining 6 comfort stations across the property, along with the main recreational facility. Each station has a separate men’s and women’s side equipped with 3 showers, 3–4 toilet stalls, sinks, and a changing table.
- Continuous Maintenance: Most of your shift will be spent looping through the 6 stations to clean, sanitize, and refresh the spaces.
- Deep Cleaning: Scrubbing and disinfecting showers, toilets, sinks, counters, and floors to keep the high-end facilities looking their best.
- Stocking & Inventory: Double-checking and replenishing essential supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap) so stations are always fully stocked.
- Waste Management: Emptying trash receptacles inside the restrooms and ensuring the immediate facility area is tidy.
What It Takes to Succeed (Requirements)
- A Grounded Work Ethic: Let’s be honest—cleaning public or community restrooms is hard work, and weekend crowds can leave things messy. We need someone who isn't easily fazed by tough cleaning tasks.
- Physical Stamina: You will be on your feet, walking between stations, bending, and lifting throughout most of the day.
- Reliability: Friday through Monday are the community's busiest peak days. Dependable attendance for these shifts is an absolute must.
- Independence: Ability to follow a routine and manage your time efficiently without constant supervision.
- Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to travel to the property in Equinunk, PA.
