Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including document review, legal research, and drafting pleadings and discovery documents
- Manage case files using document management systems
- Conduct legal research to support litigation strategies across diverse practice areas such as land use, litigation, wills, trusts and estates
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical files in compliance with firm policies
- Prepare and proofread legal documents ensuring accuracy and adherence to court standards
- Coordinate depositions, interviews, and client meetings; assist with scheduling and project management tasks
- Support administrative functions including data entry, filing, transcription, and document management
- Assist in the review of contracts and other legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Provide executive administrative support as needed, including managing calendars and correspondence
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills
Skills
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation support across multiple practice areas
- Proficiency with legal research tools and familiarity with document review platforms is a plus
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear legal documents and perform proofreading tasks accurately
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with legal case management systems and document management systems
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research and synthesize findings effectively
- Exceptional clerical skills including data entry, filing, transcription, and administrative support functions
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette and client interaction experience
