Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and adjust CNC machines (mills, lathes, or plasma equipment depending on facility needs)
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments to maintain accuracy
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate production records, including part counts and quality checks
- Ability to follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
- 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience in a steel or heavy fabrication environment
- Complete understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and material behavior
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication blueprints
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
- Experience performing machine setups, offsets, and basic programming edits

Qualifications:
- Solid mechanical aptitude and problem?solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
- Reliable transportation and good work history
- Experience with G code editing
- Familiarity with plasma, laser, or waterjet CNC systems
- Background in steel fabrication or structural steel production
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
