Position Overview
Under general guidance, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing technology?related projects, which may include application development, infrastructure initiatives, cybersecurity efforts, process improvement, and innovation. Projects may involve new implementations, system upgrades, and enhancements.
This role requires the ability to manage a high level of complexity and to assume expanding job responsibilities as organizational and client needs evolve. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for all generally accepted project management knowledge areas and ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties listed below are representative of the primary responsibilities of this position but are not all?inclusive.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently with varying levels of complexity.
- Manage projects from initiation through post?deployment support.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with project teams, including internal resources and external vendors.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, and outcomes to all levels of management, including the Board of Directors, senior executives, management, project sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
- Lead, motivate, and manage cross?functional project teams.
- Assign project tasks, monitor progress, and ensure completion of deliverables.
- Develop and implement long?range strategies to achieve project objectives and milestones.
- Facilitate and manage issue identification, escalation, and resolution.
- Request, allocate, and manage project resources and ensure appropriate user involvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including oversight of performance and deliverables.
- Oversee, mentor, and train other project managers and project team members.
- Act as a mentor to lower?level Project Management staff in all areas of professional responsibility.
- Resolve highly complex project issues creatively, applying extensive experience in situations where procedures may not be fully defined.
- Document and manage project schedules, issue logs, project finances and invoices, status reports, change requests, statements of work, project approvals, and other project artifacts in accordance with PMO processes and procedures.
- Work in support of the Project Management Office (PMO) and in conformance with established PMO standards, methodologies, and procedures.
- For certain assignments, possess and apply unique application, system, or implementation experience as required by the client.
Education and Experience
- Education equivalent to a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of professional?level project management experience in computer systems, business, accounting, and/or business intelligence applications.
- At least two (2) years of experience managing advanced or “cutting?edge” projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted project management principles and methodologies.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, and issue?tracking tools such as Jira or MantisHub.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem?solving skills.
- Clear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate project teams and stakeholders.

Assignment Details:
- This is a contract assignment through Intratek Computer, Inc.
- Work will be performed under the direction of the Department Manager of IS Operations.
- No direct supervisory responsibilities over internal staff.

Additional Notes: This role involves managing infrastructure and transit-focused IT projects in a high-pressure environment where priorities frequently shift based on operational demands, funding, or strategic direction.
Duration: Multi-year assignment, dependent on project needs and performance.
Location: Primarily onsite at facilities throughout Orange County. Hybrid work may be allowed based on project requirements and management approval.
