We are a busy optometry office seeking a motivated and reliable Optometric Assistant...either an experienced professional or someone eager to learn and grow in the field. What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in optometry or a willingness to be trained
- Background in customer service (medical office experience is a plus)
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and a team player
- Organized and detail-oriented
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and verify insurance
- Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and lenses, explaining their options clearly
- Provide accurate information about insurance coverage for exams, treatments, eyewear, and other products
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment
- Retrieve, clean, and organize instruments and materials
- Assist the optometrist during procedures and exams
- Offer general office and administrative support as needed
Pay: $16.90 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 14.0 – 20.0 per week
