QC Inspector (Roofing / Steel Structures / Building Envelope)

Location: Oak Ridge, TN
Position Overview
The QC Inspector is responsible for performing field quality inspections on industrial and nuclear construction projects. This role supports quality assurance across multiple construction disciplines, including roofing systems, structural steel, and building envelope components, ensuring all work complies with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site QA/QC inspections for assigned construction scope (roofing, steel structures, and/or building envelope systems)
Verify compliance with project drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards
Inspect installation methods, materials, alignment, sealing, fastening, welds, and structural components as applicable
Document inspection results and support corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate closely with the Client’s quality team, site supervision, and other inspectors
Maintain accurate inspection records and daily reports
Report findings to the onsite quality lead
Qualifications
5–8 years of QA/QC inspection experience on industrial or nuclear projects
Hands-on inspection experience in one or more of the following:
Roofing systems (built-up roofing, waterproofing, thermal insulation)
Structural steel erection (bracing, anchor bolts, welding)
Building envelope systems (insulated metal panels, sealing, thermal performance)
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a field environment
Preferred Experience
DOE / NNSA / nuclear facility project experience
Familiarity with industrial quality programs and inspection procedures
Salary : $60 - $90
