The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Fund Accountant who’s ready to grow with us and who can thrive in ambiguity, take ownership, and help shape how we serve our venture capital, private equity, and real estate clients.
This isn’t a typical back-office role. You’ll be directly involved in building processes, improving operations, and influencing the future of our fund administration practice.
Key Performance Objectives (First 12 Months)
Success in this role means you will:
- Independently manage 15-20 fund clients, owning deliverables from capital calls and distributions to financial reporting and investor communications.
- Improve existing processes by identifying bottlenecks and devising solutions that enhance quality and efficiency.
- Leverage technology and AI tools to automate manual tasks and deliver greater value to clients.
- Collaborate with leadership and fellow team members to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to building our culture as one of the early members shaping Spero’s fund administration group.

- 1-4 years of experience in fund administration for venture capital, private equity, or real estate funds.
