What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabricator position at Spencer Turbine Company?
We are seeking a Fabricator to join our team! In this role you will be utilizing your mechanical experience to test and troubleshoot various manufactured products.
Primary responsibilities
- Set up and operation of fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, rollers, saws, seam welder, plasma cutter and punch press.
- Verifies conformance of work pieces to specification, using square, ruler and measuring tape.
- Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work area.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to read and perform work from engineering documentation (drawings), work orders, verbal or written instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- 5 years prior fabrication experience, preferable in a manufacturing setting.
