Senior Recruitment Consultant – Permanent Energy & Infrastructure
Location: RiNo, Denver
Schedule: 4 days in-office, 1-day WFH

Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000 DOE uncapped commission

Spencer Ogden’s Denver office is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Permanent Recruitment team.
This is a true 360 role for someone who enjoys business development, wants ownership of their market, and is motivated by building long-term client relationships across Energy, Infrastructure, and Sustainability.
You’ll be joining a high-energy office in RiNo, working across some of the most active markets in North America, including Renewable Energy, Power, Infrastructure, Environmental, Water/Wastewater, Energy Technology, Oil & Gas, and Finance within the energy sector.
This role is ideal for someone who is already confident in recruitment and wants a bigger platform, stronger market, and clearer route to long-term earnings and progression.
The Role
As a Senior Recruitment Consultant, you’ll be responsible for developing and growing a permanent recruitment desk across the U.S. Energy and Infrastructure markets.
You’ll target new clients, build relationships with senior decision-makers, win permanent recruitment mandates, and deliver high-quality candidates into specialist roles.
This is a commercial, sales-led position. You’ll be expected to drive outbound activity, create opportunities, negotiate terms, manage processes, and build a revenue-generating desk with the support of a global specialist brand behind you.

You’ll have the opportunity to build deep market expertise and position yourself as a specialist in a high-demand technical niche.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building new client relationships across Energy, Infrastructure, and Sustainability markets
- Targeting, pitching, and winning new business
- Negotiating fees, terms, and long-term client agreements
- Managing relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders
- Sourcing, headhunting, and placing mid-to-senior level professionals
- Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from lead generation to placement and aftercare
- Mapping markets, tracking project pipelines, and identifying hiring demand
- Building a strong candidate network for fast, high-quality delivery
- Owning your desk, revenue, and progression
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with:
- 1 years of recruitment experience
- Permanent or direct-hire recruitment experience preferred
- Experience in technical, energy, engineering, infrastructure, environmental, construction, or professional services markets ideal
- Proven ability to win new business or strong confidence in business development
- A true hunter mentality and comfort with outbound sales activity
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Confidence managing both client development and candidate delivery
- Resilience, competitiveness, and a financially motivated mindset
- Permanent U.S. work authorization
You do not need to have recruited in Energy before, but you should be commercially driven, confident in a sales-led recruitment environment, and motivated by building something of your own.
