About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Factory Inspector / Manufacturing Quality Inspector to support manufacturing quality activities across supplier, warehouse, and production facilities. In this role, you will serve as the on-site quality representative, ensuring products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. You'll identify and prevent defects before shipment, verify implementation of engineering and manufacturing changes, and provide visibility into manufacturing risks.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine in-process inspections throughout manufacturing to verify product quality and workmanship.
- Inspect critical-to-quality characteristics, high-risk assembly operations, historical defect trends, and manufacturing processes.
- Verify implementation of engineering changes, corrective actions, deviations, and updated manufacturing requirements.
- Evaluate manufacturing readiness for new products and production changes.
- Conduct quality inspections across fabrication, welding, coatings, mechanical assembly, electrical installation, water ingress prevention, and regulatory labeling.
- Execute pre-shipment inspections to confirm product completeness, assembly quality, labeling, documentation, and release readiness.
- Document quality issues, defects, and process concerns using inspection reports, NCRs, photographs, and supporting documentation.
- Escalate significant quality, safety, or compliance risks to quality leadership.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by validating corrective actions and monitoring manufacturing process stability.
- Follow site safety procedures, confidentiality requirements, and professional conduct expectations while visiting manufacturing facilities.
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing quality, supplier quality, factory inspection, or industrial production.
- Ability to inspect fabricated, mechanical, electrical, and assembled products.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing drawings, inspection methods, workmanship standards, and defect documentation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing change control, corrective actions, and quality reporting systems.
- Experience inspecting welding, coatings, mechanical assemblies, electrical installations, and regulatory labeling is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify manufacturing risks and quality concerns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to manufacturing and supplier locations as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and quality documentation.
- Knowledge of torque verification, assembly inspections, and quality compliance requirements.
- Root cause awareness and a continuous improvement mindset.
