The Development Project Manager (Mission Critical Construction) will lead and manage the design, preconstruction, and construction execution for large-scale infrastructure projects. This individual will collaborate daily with operations teams, contractors, engineers, designers, commissioning agents, and vendors, requiring strong communication and leadership skills to successfully drive projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple active projects across one or more campuses while maintaining accurate budgets, schedules, and reporting.
  • Provide regular executive-level updates on project and program status to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, design teams, and construction partners to develop campus-wide development strategies, site plans, and capital budgets.
  • Manage permitting, entitlement, and regulatory requirements for assigned projects.
  • Execute phased development plans while maintaining schedule, cost, and quality expectations.
  • Develop scopes of work for design, construction, and commissioning activities, while supporting procurement and cost estimation efforts.
  • Review and evaluate pricing proposals from contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery schedules with procurement and operations teams.
  • Ensure construction submittals and documentation are properly managed with all site stakeholders.
  • Track project financials, including budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete reporting.
  • Establish and manage detailed project schedules to ensure successful delivery timelines.
  • Review contractor pay applications and negotiate change orders as necessary.
  • Coordinate construction security and site access procedures with internal teams.
  • Support deployment planning and communicate implementation strategies across operational groups.
  • Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to support customized client solutions within schedule and budget constraints.
  • Lead owner/architect/contractor meetings and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Support due diligence activities for future site acquisitions and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to project management processes and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of five years of experience managing commercial construction projects using delivery methods such as Design-Build, CMAR, and Lump Sum contracts.
  • Strong experience managing projects from conceptual planning through procurement, construction, and closeout.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for budgeting, reporting, and executive presentations.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required.
  • US Citizen or Green Card Holder ONLY

Preferred Experience

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • Experience delivering mission critical or highly technical facilities.
  • Strong background overseeing MEP trades and complex infrastructure systems.

Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
