๐ About the Role
The Field Support Coordinator 1 (FSC Tier 1) is a key on-site support partner during the construction and commissioning of wind projects. This person helps drive site setup, inventory control, documentation, logistics, compliance, and administrative support from project mobilization through close-out, ensuring operations stay organized, efficient, and aligned with Vestas processes.
๐ง Core Responsibilities
- ๐ฆบ Support site safety and compliance by maintaining a clean work environment, identifying hazards, participating in daily safety meetings, and completing required safety training.
- ๐ Manage project documentation including transport, installation, commissioning, QA/QC forms, contractor timesheets, turbine job books, and as-built records while ensuring document accuracy and control.
- ๐ฆ Oversee construction inventory transactions including receiving materials/containers, cycle counts, reconciliation, shipping/receiving parts, serial number tracking, and inventory consumption/returns.
- ๐ป Process and maintain SAP transactions including purchase orders/requests, NCR documentation, inventory records, and labor tracking tied to project activity.
- ๐ค Support Construction Managers and Lead Technicians with site coordination, customer requests, issue resolution, inventory support, and process compliance.
- ๐ ๏ธ Ensure site readiness by helping maintain availability of tools, spares, containers, office supplies, and other site support materials.
- ๐ Track daily site progress through progress logs, work hour entry, financial/admin updates, and documentation uploads to support project scheduling and reporting.
- โ๏ธ Promote process improvement and LEAN practices to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support operational excellence across project sites.
- ๐ Provide cross-site support and collaborate with field teams, site leadership, and remote management to resolve issues and improve execution.
โ What Theyโre Looking For
- ๐ 3 years of Vestas wind site business support experience
- ๐ก Strong background in inventory control, logistics, planning, scheduling, and project coordination
- ๐ฅ๏ธ Advanced experience with SAP Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- ๐งพ Experience handling construction documentation, job books, QA/QC paperwork, and compliance tracking
- ๐ Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, root cause analysis, and organizational skills
- ๐ค Ability to work independently and with cross-functional field teams
- โ๏ธ Comfortable with ~90% travel to construction sites
- ๐ Valid driverโs license required; passport preferred
- ๐ High school diploma/GED required; Associateโs or Bachelorโs preferred
๐ช Role Environment / Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs force
- Work in remote construction environments and varying/extreme weather conditions
- Travel frequently between project sites
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance and communicate effectively in English
