We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to oversee our distribution Center warehouse in Portland OR.
Summary
The Operations Manager oversees warehouse, office, and delivery operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance with company standards. This role is responsible for managing staff, facilities, routing, and contractor performance while maintaining clear communication with leadership and resolving escalated issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse, office, and delivery operations, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Ensure contractor insurance is current and compliant with company policies.
- Monitor driver on-time performance and address issues with contractors to ensure service quality.
- Manage facility and equipment maintenance, including coordinating repairs and preventative measures with service vendors.
- Review and approve payroll hours and sick time, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Interview, hire, and, when necessary, terminate staff, maintaining a high-performing team.
- Ensure routing processes align with revenue goals and client delivery schedules.
- Oversee the facility's profit and loss (P&L) performance, implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Process invoices and provide detailed expense descriptions for Trello entries.
- Submit and review contractor specials in MarketCenter, ensuring proper documentation and approval.
- Address and resolve employee conflicts, escalating to HR/management when required.
- Document and report incidents or injuries to HR/Management promptly.
- Meet weekly with the warehouse and office leads to address any operational issues or needs.
- Provide weekly updates on operations to the Director of Operations.
- Ensure claims are processed and cleared promptly.
- Handle escalated issues involving drivers or customers, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain the managers' log and ensure it is consistently updated.
- Complete the end-of-day report and upload it to Slack for daily visibility.
- Submit routes for approval and ensure proper communication with contractors.
- Email contractors with route lists for the following day, ensuring clear instructions are provided.

- Efficiency in managing daily operations and meeting delivery schedules.
- On-time resolution of escalated issues and claims.
- Accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Facility maintenance compliance and cost control.
- P&L performance in line with company goals.
- Clear and consistent communication with staff, contractors, and leadership.
Required Skills and Experience

- Experience in operations management, logistics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of facility and equipment maintenance best practices.
