HDL provides a range of home delivery and final mile logistics solutions for world-class retailers of furniture and appliances. HomeDeliveryLink is currently in need of a Delivery Operations Manager to oversee one of our furniture and appliance home delivery and installation operations in the Portland, OR area. This leader's responsibilities will include shared oversight of our local network of independent home delivery contract carriers, close partnership and interactions with our clients, and make sure that each and every delivery customer has an amazing delivery experience. Skills used include computer-based routing system knowledge, MS Office applications, verifiable customer service excellence, above-average verbal and electronic communication skills, adherence to established processes, and process development ability.
- Required 2 years of management experience in contract based, final-mile, big and bulky home delivery
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills required
- Strong, professional oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to influence and positively motivate direct reports and business partners
- Multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to produce and execute development plans for several direct reports
- Logistics contractor management experience is strongly preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- MS Office suite application proficiency is required
- DOT and Federal regulations knowledge is required
Candidates with home delivery experience and a professional network in the Oregon contract carrier community are preferred.
Flexibility of schedule based on a variable delivery calendar is required.
